This Engagement Photography session took place in November last year. Winnie and Robin decided to have a traditional English village theme for their shoot. We had travelled to Manor Farm B&B the night before and the next day, after a nice full English breakfast, had started the shoot.
“For our engagement photoshoot we wanted something that really reflects us, we both love the English countryside, especially in the winter. The countryside is a relaxing weekend escape from the city! ” – Winnie & Robin
The Manor Farm B&B has charming decorations and is very peaceful and cosy. Upon finishing indoors, we rushed outside, as the winter morning light was exactly what we’d been hoping for. The Manor farm is a working farm with dogs and chicken wander around of courtyard. We had such a fun time with the animals and could tell they just loved being a part of our shoot.
“Choosing the outfits was possibly one of the hardest parts for the shoot. We wanted something that we could feel comfortable in, keeping the heritage elements but mixing it with something that still resembles bridal and winterish.” – Winnie & Robin
Later, we took a short break at a Castle Inn Hotel so that Winnie and Robin could dress for a formal look. For the second part of the session, we moved on to Castle Combe in the Cotswolds. Castle Combe is considered as one of the loveliest village in the Cotsworlds. The castle is very beautiful and had even been used as a location for filming “War Horse”. It made it worth travelling all the way there for the shoot.
“We wanted a quintessentially British inspired shoot, in our minds there was no better location than this little picture perfect village, which lies in the valley of Cotsworld- Castle Combe. ” – Winnie & Robin
